Art Hound is a blog on affordable, independent art. It’s mission is twofold: to spread the message that anyone can afford great art and to provide a practical guide on how to do so. We believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion on art and that everyone should and can have art in their home.
In the summer of 2009 I left a fancy schmancy corporate job without a plan, which was both liberating and terrifying for someone accustomed to strategic thinking and spreadsheets. I decided it was time to follow my heart and started Art Hound, which was inspired by my own experience of starting an art collection four years ago.
Without the right resources, looking for art or starting a collection is a daunting process. Art Hound aims to be a critical resource, exposing you to some of the best affordable art available and providing realistic advise on the entire process, from honing your taste to displaying your art.
